Biography

Flying Robotic Solutions (FLYROS) is a Spanish company created in 2019. Its vision is to deliver cutting-edge robotic solutions to real-life industry, especially in processes related to Inspection & Maintenance with Unmanned Aerial Systems. FLYROS is an emerging company, whose team gathers knowledge from different engineering fields. Despite being a recently created company, the team adds up to more than 25 years of experience in designing and building from customized platforms and low-level hardware to simulation environments and high-level software. Furthermore, it has the expertise to integrate all these components into a final ready-to-fly robotic solution.
Since its creation, FLYROS has been working with novel but solid technologies. In a project related to the measurement of noise in industrial environments, for example, FLYROS has developed a low-noise aircraft. This stealth drone allows the inspector to locate the noise sensor with precision and in places that are difficult to reach by manual means. By taking several measurements in pre-defined points in space, the inspection is able to extract the noise footprint of some industrial equipment.
Also, FLYROS is part of a consortium that was selected for the RIMA programme in 2020. With its partner, a company with expertise in the inspection of airport pavements, the project implements an overall solution for the automation of the inspection and the extraction of the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) in airports. For this purpose, FLYROS developed an Aerial Robot capable of capturing high-resolution photographs of the runway while navigating safely in coordination with the air traffic system. After successfully finishing the project, the APIBOT consortium is in conversations with clients to reach the product status. Expanding its interests to the marine environment and the associated technologies, FLYROS has recently become part of the ECOBOTICS.SEA project.
