Ludek Santora

Luděk Šantora started in the telecommunications business, spent several years in the internet content business and for the last 16 years has worked for the City of Pilsen as CEO of the Sprava Informacnich Technologii mesta Plzne (SIT – IT company of the city of Pilsen) and as Managing Director of the Business Innovation Centre Pilsen (BIC). He is the creator of the Pilsen Innovation Ecosystem (PINE), which includes the use of drones in the city of Pilsen. Pilsen was the first city in the country to obtain a licence for aerial work 10 years ago. During this time, the dronySIT group has provided innovative solutions using drones, AI and digital twins for bridge structure inspection, bark beetle detection and has become a component of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS). Currently, drony SIT’s work is mainly focused on supporting the IRS. In 2023, the group has carried out more than 140 missions (search for people, fires, infrastructure breakdowns, traffic accidents). Within the IZS, it develops specific applications such as IZS Stream for real-time image transmission from the scene of a crisis event, or the Crash Inspector application, which uses drone data and is a tool for forensic investigation of the causes of traffic accidents.
