Biography
Ivana graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb in 2005, specializing in fruit growing, viticulture, and winemaking. She earned her PhD from the same faculty in 2022, with her research and doctoral thesis focused on smart viticulture and new technologies – “Application of Vegetation Indices in Qualitative Zoning of Vineyards and Increasing the Economic Efficiency of Viticulture Production.” Additionally, she is the author of several international scientific papers in the field of smart agriculture. She is an oenologist, a member of the Wine Sensory Evaluation Commission, and a certified agronomist.
She is one of the first experts in the field of agronomy in the Republic of Croatia to work on smart agriculture, particularly smart viticulture. She participates in several pilot projects involving the introduction of new technologies in agriculture and has extensive experience in the analysis and processing of data collected from production areas. She leads the development of the software platform Vineyard Angel in collaboration with the company TIS Grupa d.o.o. from Zagreb. She also has ten years of experience in preparing and implementing projects related to digitalization and business process transformation, as well as preparing and implementing EU projects.
