Monika Zovko

Monika Zovko, associate professor, work at the Department of Soil Amelioration at the Univ. of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture. She is head of the Departmet and quality manager of the accredited Analytical laboratory of the Department of Soil Amelioration. Main teaching activities are dedicated to sustainable water and soil management in the (agro)ecosystems, with an emphasis on agricultural ameliorations, irrigation and drainage, water quality and the protection of natural ecosystems from the detrimental effects of low-quality water. Research activies are related to techniques in the area of precision irrigation and the application of remote/proximal sensing (spectral imaging, thermography), geostatistical, geochemical, and modeling approaches and methods for estimating the pollution risks in the (agro)ecosystem.
