Present and future of aerial manipulation with single and multiple aerial robots: a control perspective
Aerial manipulation, namely the set of physical-interaction tasks performed by aerial robots equipped with different end-effectors, has been receiving more and more attention thanks to its ubiquitous application scenarios. Aerial manipulators find an application, e.g., in industrial contact-based inspection and maintenance, in the construction field, in the freight sector, and in environment-preserving applications, just to name a few. This talk presents some of the latest results in single-robot and cooperative aerial manipulation and gives a glimpse of interesting and open directions for the future of the field.
