H2AMI: Intuitive air manipulator control using the operator’s body – LARICS

Aerial manipulators consist of a multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle and a robotic manipulator. They have numerous advantages when performing servicing and maintenance work in hard-to-reach places at height. The demonstration shows the application of the H2AMI (Human to Aerial Manipulator Interface) interface for intuitive control of the aerial manipulator using the operator’s body movements. The interface was created using artificial intelligence technology, more precisely deep learning in computer vision.
